The last months a number of updates to the search interface and the backends serving these have been added. This weekend the catalogue was updated to take benefit of some of these efforts. Harvesting of information from relevant repositories is yet not fully implemented in the newe solution, but e.g. harvesting of information from WMO GTS (real time exchange of meteorological information) is now partly implemented.

Work in progress for the time being covers:

  1. Improved support for harvest from data centres (require communication with some data centres concerning application of standrds and content of metadata)
  2. Addition of visualisation and transformation support for profile data
  3. Extraction of radiousounding, ship and buoy data from GTS (freely available ones only)
  4. Support for parent/child relationships for harvested data
