Abstract:
Within the APPLICATE project and the Meteo-France contribution to the Year of Polar Prediction (YOPP), the CNRM has provided a second experiment with the same non-hydrostatic model AROME over the Barentz sea used during the stream 1 but coupled with the 1D sea-ice model GELATO. The lateral and initial conditions are interpolated from the global model ARPEGE also coupled with the 1D sea ice model GELATO. The horizontal resolution is 2.5km with 65 vertical levels, exactly the same domain of AROME-Arctic from MetNorway. The two SOP periods for YOPP-NH have been run: 1st Feb. 2018 – 31 March 2018 and 1st July – 30 September 2018. Time-series have been produced in the NetCdf format and are available for 3 Arctic supersites Ny-Ålesund, Sodankyla, Pallas with hourly via the YOPP Data Portal and on the ftp site: ftp.umr-cnrm.fr see the contact name.License :
